From Tacoma to Mars and Back Again

$2,500.00

28 x 12 x 11 inches (71 x 30 x 28 cm)

2024

Packaging from eating over 600 bars and bags of Mars Wrigley candy made this possible. Franklin Mars started the original company in 1911 in Tacoma, WA, where the local Fox News TV affiliate Q-13 News is licensed. Made purely from Mars Wrigley candy inside and out, this sculpture has several moving parts to make the eyepiece adjustable.

Included with this piece is a metal title plaque. Not included is the filament to hang this piece to display free-hanging from the ceiling, as pictured. Heavy duty angling line can be threaded through the handle to securely hang this piece from the ceiling for display.

Note: This is not a real camera. It does not work. It does not take any pictures or video. This is a piece of cultural satire.
