OAK DWELLERS
Carved from solid oak by Mike Leavitt, these life-size sculptures depict species native to the Garry oak tree. Collaborating with HomeGrown Organics, wood for these pieces was salvaged from fallen branches in the Garry oak savannah stewarded by Clover Park Tech.
These carvings are stained and painted with enamel to withstand minimal outdoor weathering, not for sustained exposure to annual rainfall. Each includes the rough-hewn oak log pictured here for mounting & display. Mike is available to make more like these.
