The story goes…

“How Liberty Dies Wounds Into Wisdom”

Queen Amidala rules over a kingdom of cultural prowess as vast and all encompassing as Oprah Winfrey's. Both rulers pride themselves on the righteous virtues of personal freedom through omnipotent self-governance. Yet Oprah is not the only one who is ultra media-friendly. Amidala roles out a seemingly endless stream of photo op's, what with her exotic outfits adorning her at any public appearance. They know the magic of visual presentation as it erects a framework of dissemination over their constituents. On Oprah's frontal tableau lie the symbols of her reign, many related to her Chicago geneses: the Anish Kapoor Chicago 'Bean', her TV signatures, the Obama logo, and the mascots of the Bulls, Bears and Cubs. From this prideful public with a checkered past, Oprah rises to elevate its masses with her promising rhetoric. Amidala does the same but with forlorn results. Oprah's destiny is yet to be fulfilled.
