TRADING CARDS
This is how Mike’s career got started. In the year 2000, ©ArtCardMike conceived of hand-made trading cards called “©ArtCards” then hand-drew, printed, cut and sold 1000’s at parties and festivals. Many were hand wrapped in packs with stale sticks of gum. He made all drawings at 2.5 x 3.5 inch, with illustration marker on paper (originals below). Each card depicting one of Mike’s inspirations, ©ArtCards were made until 2005, with 4 complete sets of 45 cards each; 180 total for the series.
Examples of Mike’s other more “professional” trading card projects with “real” producers. Like the 100’s of “sketch card” one-off’s Mike has drawn and hand-painted for official releases by Topps Inc. and other producers.
