'Darth Tyson' 12-inch Original Clay Carving

This one-off polymer clay sculpture was hand-carved by Mike in 2013 as part of his “Empire Peaks“ series of Star Wars mash-ups, depicting Mike Tyson as Darth Maul. This piece features 5 moving parts, articulated by metal armatures and elastic cord, along with miniature details hand-painted by Mike in acrylic.

Included with this purchase is the white-painted, wood tabletop base, 12 x 10 x 3 inches in dimension, hand-made by Mike, and photographed here.

“We Will Rip Out Revenge Hearts”

Darth Maul and Mike Tyson are savage muscle men. They strike fear in the hearts of opponents in battle. Neither is completely human, living more on animal instinct than cerebral negotiation. Each regulates a dominant sphere. Tyson's gloves are emblazoned with the reckless wonders of his unbridled and violent dominance. Instead of 'Everlast', they read 'BeatWife' and 'ChewEars'. The tribal face markings are part of an incendiary arsenal. The clannish motifs afford shrewd visual witchcrafts that can be spellbinding over many. Tyson's Che Guevara cloak emblem accurately reflects the actual tattoo on the side of the boxer's abdomen. Tyson also has a Mao Tse Dung tattoo on his right shoulder. Elements of didactic, one-dimensional communism are present in the empire that employs Darth Maul.
