“Winniendada”

When Mike’s daughter was a year & a half old in 2020, they started collaborating on a series of drawings and paintings. One profound lesson of being a new father is learning to let go of control. It’s also comforting to see familiar characters emerge from dada’s handiwork. So the project hinges on this tender balance - between familial recognition, and letting go of the controlled work that fosters it. Most are water soluble ink, tempura, crayon and pencil on 14 x 11 inch paper. Some are available as prints.
